ADNU SEATEACHERS 2018

06 AUGUST 2018

I heard about the SEATeach program when my university started to join last year. It started with three Ateneo De Naga University (ADNU) delegates, then nine in the previous semester. Now, here we are, FINALLY! I would like you to meet my co-delegates, Ate MJ (left) and Krystel (right). Ate MJ is majoring in Special Education, and Krystel is majoring in Early Childhood Education. They are the people whom I journey with in preparing for our flight tickets, organizing our luggage, buying kinds of stuff we need, attending online meetings, and not to mention, the medical check-up which made go crazy! And you know the most exciting part? This is the first time that we're all traveling abroad.

"Whatever you are doing, that which makes you feel the most alive ... that is where God is"

- Ignatius of Loyola -

So, why did I join the SEATeach Program? Well, listening to my friend's stories who joined the same program gave me the keen interest to explore it more. Who wouldn't want to be challenged in a new experience? Practice teaching and traveling at the same time, that would be awesome. I wouldn't want to miss this opportunity to develop my personal and professional competencies in teaching. It's a great avenue to experience how other countries teach their students and a way for me, a young Filipino teacher, share what I can do. This program will surely help me uncap my potentials and to share that to my future students in the Philippines as I uphold the Ignatian values that my school taught me. All this for the Greater Glory of God!
